Marching to the beat of my own drum

About 10 years ago, I knew I want to work in a startup, a tech startup. But I could not find any interesting ones in Singapore. Thankfully when I was in the UK for university, I got to intern at Kayako. The people and experiences reinforced my desire to work at a tech startup.

One thing led to another, and I got to work at Buffer for six years. We grew from $5m ARR to $20m ARR while being profitable; we did big radical things like remote work before it was cool; we made mistakes and we learned. I look back at those days fondly and crave to do it again.

After a year of leading ReferralCandy’s marketing team, I decided to take the leap of faith. Instead of complaining about the lack of tech startups, specifically product-led SaaS companies in Singapore, why not start one myself?

So I teamed up with my high school friend SK to start our SaaS startup in Singapore.

This is our journey.
